A Sharp Looking Website

Laseredge - Fisher Barton

You don't often hear the words "technology" and "lawn mower blade" in the same sentence, but Fisher Barton took its metallurgy to the next level to introduce the Laser Edge Blade. These blades were worth their weight in gold to people who cut lawns for a living. Now it was time to prove it to them.

The Challenge

Fisher Barton Blades has produced the best lawn mower blades for the industry's leading outdoor power equipment manufacturers for over 50 years. With advancements in metallurgy and laser coating technology, they developed a lawn mower blade that could stay sharper substantially longer than the competition. Sharper blades mean everything to the professional landscaper. Ranging from better looking lawns, better fuel economy, and less machine down time, a fleet of mowers with Laser Edge blades could save thousands.

In an industry with all sorts of wild claims, Fisher Barton had to cut through the rumor mill and put forth the actual proof and lab tests to validate their claims that Laser Edge Blades were the real deal. They needed to show Landscape business owners that there was real money to be saved.

SOLUTION 1

Zoom in Real Close

The adage "Show me, don't tell me" was the perfect mindset when photographing the Laser Edge blades. What made the blades unique was visually subtle, but wildly important to communicate. I photographed the dirtiest blades they had to really show the difference. Each blade was put through a head to head test for 50 hours straight to exemplify the differences. Even after a grueling torture test, it's obvious that the Laser Edge blade is still sharp.

SOLUTION 2

Every Hour Counts

When you landscape for a living, every hour of downtime or maintenance on your machine is another hour you could be working. The Laser Edge Blades had proven performance metrics that could directly translate into dollars. By designing a calculator and working with developers to create an algorithm, Landscape Company owners could see just how much money they could save if they made the investment and switched to Laser Edge Blades.
